Press Announcements

The Heavenly Chronicle: Blairon wins the 3 point shooting contest.

Geert Blairon from the Antwerp Angels has won the 3 point shooting contest in a rather competitive 3 point shooting contest.

Alot of 'Blue' balls were made, but nobody made as many as Blairon. he was a perfect 5 for 5 in the first round, in which he scored a total of 25 points.
The first round was started with the N. Thuysbaert who started very strong by making 19 points. His performance was followed by a lesser preformance of B. Van Der Stichel (14 points), who was one of the 2 player to shoot less than 3 'blue' balls on the evening ( he ended up only making 2 of them). Then it was M. Guéguen turn. everyone was expecting great stuff from the leading scoorder of the division, however, he failed epicly, being the other player to score less than 2 points ( and having a very poor performance which lead him to only have 17 points). And then came Blairon. He lit up the scoreboard like no other, going for a perfect 5 out of 5 on the 'blue' balls. This would lead to incredible 25 points preformance. This means that he tied the 3rd best result ever in the 3 point shooting contest. I. Abu-Yaseen also made 25 points, in season 13. Second in the II.3 history in the 3 point shooting contest, is A. Varkelis ( former Popotams) where as L. Wostijn has the best II.3 allstar record by getting a score of 27 points! After Blairon, A. Salvini got a score of 19 points, followed by Cipolla making 22 points.

The 2 favorites would advance onto the second round, where Blairon would start off first. He netted a score of 21 points, which would be enough to beat Cipolla's 19 points and thus claim his first 3 point shooting contest victory ever.

Geert Blairon on this stellar preformance: " i'm not sure what to say. i'm not sure that this is even real, but here i am, standing with a trophy in my hands. This was a big surprize for me. I was pretty sure that Cipolla would win it, since we all know that his JS 17 JR 14 combo gives him a ridiculous offensif firepower ( even tho his defence -- lvl 12-- isn't that great tho). I'm surprized that i managed to bring home this cup. I sure hope that the fans enjoyed it, and all that is left now, is to give it our all in the allstar game, cause it has been 4 seasons since our division won the allstar game"

unfortunately for Blairon, great 8 would end up losing the Allstar game by 3 points. Maybe they'll have more luck next season.
