The Heavenly Chronicle: Angelss J-J Eeckhout gets his first minutes in U21 friendly

Angels were pleased to inform their fanbase than J-J Eeckhout got his first minutes from U21 coach Ingkor. For many, including Revo, it came as a surprize that J-J got to come and play some minutes in a U21 friendly.

Against Slovenko's U21 representative team, J-J backed-up starter J. Gillet (24017851). Altho the Belgian U21 representative lost 96-98 against Slovenko despite 2 3pt gamewinning shotattempts, J-J ended up playing 11 minutes, in which he went 2-3 from the field, while going 3x to the charity line and converting on all 3 occasions. He also dished out 5 assists in those 11 minutes and added a steal aswell, without any Turn Overs or personal fauls. He ended the evening with a +2 evaluation and poored in a total of 7 points for the Belgian U21.

Both the fanbase and the Angels staff hope it's a sign of things to come. There were some concerns that J-J wouldn't be able to get ready for the U21 on time, but it seems as if he might just be able to make the cut and continue the long tradition of Angels players that have made the U21. If J-J is selected into the squad next season, he would be the 9th player in the Franchise history to make it onto a U21 squad. The Angels' staff has already announced that he'll be doubling up his workout rate in an attempt to work towards a potential starting post on the U21 roster.
