The Heavenly Chronicale: dissapointment

Despite a good season and having a 10-12 record, the Angels ended on the 8th spot and are being relegated straight back to II. Despite having former Angels superduo Ottevaere and Fleeton back on the court as veterans to help Marichal lead this bunch in Belgiums best league (and toughest division), the Angels ended up falling short of their objectives. The Angels new from the start that it would be hard. a rough couple schedule added onto the already stressfull calender and at the start of May, everything broke down.

GM-Revo: "this is really hard to swallow. any time you get 10 wins or more, you are expecting to atleast be playing the play-downs. Now, we got to go back down. it really hurts. Futhermore, we had to dump salary real fast too, and when our staff got some calls with people interested in Fleeton and Marichal, we didn't hesitate and pulled the trigger on deals. It's painfull to let Marichal leave, since we had brought him in the franchise to become the next face of the franchise and had intension of letting him retire with the Angels if he wished for it. However, now our hand got forced and we had to bid farewell to Marichal. Former Angels legend Fleeton also left us, to attempt to aid another team get a title somewhere else. We'll think about what comes next, but first we got to get our staff cleaned up.

Marichal: "i'd like to thank the Angels organisation for having taken care of me. The Angels organisation is known for delivering U21 and NT players, and i hope to one day face off against them. i have many fond memories with the club, including gaining promotion while picking up a MVP trophee. i guess the BB-gods had other plans for me and the Angels. i wish them a speedy recovery and who knows, i might join up with them in the futur

Ottevaere :"This really hurts. i'm gonna need time to process this. we had a good squad, a BBBL worthy squad, yet it wasn't meant to be.

Angels HQ will be bussy, but for now, the outgoing transfers should be stopped. Rumors about incomming transfers are running high. Many rumors include a couple of English prospects that could be heading the Angels way. However, Revo repeated that a futher analyse would be required before a move would be made. Also, with new sponsors contract, there has been a rumor that the team would change it's name.
