The Heavenly Chronicale: Return of the Jedi

The Antwerp Angels have made their long awaited return to the BBBL. And altho the Angels were lead by their Belgian Big 3 in the season, made out of Nt Guard Marichal, homegrown former U21 & NT SF Ottevaere and former U21 player Bari, it was the dynamic duo of Bari and De Cloedt which lead Angels back to the BBBL. In the final game, for reasons yet to be revealed, both Ottevaere and Marichal failed to produce on offense. Yet when an Angel struggles on offense, they work twice as hard on defense. That (and the fact that the Wolves suffered 2 injuries in the last 15 minutes of the game) gave the Angels the much needed victory in game 3 of the II.3 PO finals.

And just when they went back to the BBBL, guess who decided to come back and join the squad! None less than the legendary Gerry Fleeton has decided to come back to the Antwerp Angels. In the twilight of his career, Fleeton will be coming back to anchor the defense, aswell as providing leadership to a relative young backcourt, which will include the Angels futur star J-J Eeckhout.

Angels are once again ready to tackle the BBBL, and with their lucky charm back on the squad, they are ready to start the fight for survival in Belgiums toughest league!
