The Heavenly Chronicle: Marichal breakes club record!

In Marichals first game, he fell 3 point short of breaking the club record for most points scored in a single game. However, Marichal clearly was the real deal, and has adjusted the club record by one point, moving it from 58 points in a game ( owned by Patrick Ottevaere) to 59 points a game.

This is what Marichal had to say during the press conference: It's a honor to have broken the club record for most points scored, however, it's not the club record that i'm after. It's the league record of 61 points held by Omer de Smedt that i want to brake. And i felt short 2 points in my last try, so i'll be going after that one very soon. My tea is extremely supportive, and have told me that i should gun for the MVP title, something which i might try this season, considering that our cup run has most likely come to a end following the draw against Seatle Supersonics

Also, Ottevaere said the following: Wijnand is a very talented player. He has the potential to gun for that MVP trophy. The team has decided to support him in getting attempting to get that MVP trophy and hopefully, he'll keep scoring like he has been on the past few day's... And what he's showing us is extremely promissing. If Jay-Jay trains hard and turns into the player everyone is hoping he'll turn into, then the futur of the Angels is going to be bright as light!
