The Heavenly Chronicle: Marichal makes a statement, fans go wild!

The first game of the season, Angels were receiving the favorites for the title: Vottem Cowboys. It was also Marichals first game. And their isn't a better way that to explode against the 6 time BBBL champs by dropping 55 points ( second best point total ever in the Angels franchise history! Ottevaere holds the record with 58 points dropped in a PO quarterfinal game).

The fans were very interested what Marichal could do, but they were in for a surprize when they say Marichal playing at the C position. However, Marichal was guarding the catalyst on the Cowboys, Belgians internation: Gerald Thys. And Marichal played shutdown defense. Thys finished on a 1 for 12 preformance, with only 5 assists dished out on a 38 minute effort ( clearly NT unworthy :P). The fans left the stadium with the feeling that Revo is collecting the right pieces to win a championship.

However, Marichal wasn't the only story out their tonite: Ottevaere was red hot from the charity line, knocking down 14 of his 15 attempts! (both career bests for Ottevaere!)

After the game, Ottevaere had this to say:
Marichal had a very hot hand tonite, so we gave him as much the ball as we could. He bailed us out and won that game for us today. Sure, my Free throws locked the game away, but i was able to take advantage of my match up against my friend Gilmont, where as Marichal had a great match-up with Connor Marshall playing infront of him. But i should warn everyone, the league isn't our priority at all. We're still awaiting the results of the test of our new player, Jay-Jay Eeckhout. We want to train the upcomming 3 seasons as much as possible, and improve the players as much as possible before we come back to the BBBL to compete again!

this was James Beckett, reporting live in front of a wild Heavens Palace, where Marichal made a clear statement to everyone that he should not be underestimated and if getting ready to barge in on the NT team.
