Knock out rounds, here we come!

The mighty Aussie Meat Pies have earned a place in the knock out stages of the Consolation Cup for season 52 and will front up to Spain in the opening round. It's a tough first assignment but one captain McFlynn and his men are happy to step up to.
The playoff spot was clinched on Tuesday morning with a gutsy 10-point win over Austria, who went into the match ranked higher than the Aussies.
It was a big performance to get the win and one that fills the squad with confidence there could be more upsets to come.
Another significant milestone was "passed" in the match, with veteran point guard Du Hongjing throwing his 300th international assist. He is just the seventh player in Aussie history to achieve the milestone and the fastest to get there. After just 71 international games he has now dropped 306 dimes to be rapidly closing in on the top-5 of all time. Hongjing is the only Australian player in history to put back to back seasons of 60+ assists together and if he can dish 11 more before this season's out he will extend his run to 4 straight seasons of the benchmark. He's also 12 points shy of his 1000th career point at international level.
After a ripping game on Tuesday big man McFlynn also climbed further up the leader boards and if can turn it on again could move to 6th on the all time scorers ranks this week. Can both veterans perform when their side needs it most? Tune in next week to find out!
