Victorious in Asia, next stop the World

Our side was challenged all game by the Taiwanese, but were never headed after taking the lead with 3:29 left in the first quarter. Whilst some questioned the team tactics during and after the game, one can argue that Taiwan's were no better, as they seemed under-prepared on defence and predictable on offence, leading to the home team of Australia winning by 12 points in front of a 22,677 strong crowd at The Kennel.

I'm very happy to have achieved this result, but will give the real credit for the Asian Championship victory to Mickyster. It would've been difficult to beat Taiwan or China had Mickyster not won us the home court advantage in the consolation tournament last season, not to mention that our run to the semi-final phase would've been more difficult without said advantage.

Perhaps a case can be made that NT competition shouldn't have a HCA element to it period, but under the current HCA rules, the combined efforts of Mickyster and myself were able to bring the continental cup to Australia for the first time in 14 seasons. Next, we take on the world...
