At Last! Parrots Win a Title

14 seasons after establishing, the Meidling Parrots have fetched the Austrian Tournament, beating long-term rivals Flying Mikis 93-81 (39020773) in an exciting Final game. Turbato and Strobl dominated the boards as Mikis-NT-Center Lattinger spent most of the game on the bench after picking up 3 fouls in 5 minutes against Turbato.

Says Josef Ka: "Hiring NT-PG Hermes Steiner for this season has really transformed the franchise! I've always said that owning a player like Turbato is not incompatible with success, at least in the Tournament, if one owns the right kind of guards. In Steiner, we have one reasonable guard now - and it proved enough, with a bit of luck in the draw, and to my own surprise. As we head into the offseason, we're looking forward to the B3 contest - sadly we're out of cash, so a second good guard is not in budget. But we'll try to be creative, once we recover from tonight's orgy of champagne. See you later!"
