Exclusive Scoop: How Meidling's Basketballers Escaped The Ice-Lady

She is Meidling's most famous citizen: Spanish ice-cream-parlor owner Goidsargi C. is accused of having shot both her ex-husband and a subsequent lover with a rifle, then cut them into pieces small enough for storage in several freezers and bathtubs filled with concrete that she kept in the basement below her shop. As has been reported, the attractive petite woman had a thing for large men, with both of her victims standing above 6'5" - before their untimely end, that is. Now we have learned that Meidling police have been talking to several players of the local Meidling Parrots Basketball team, after receiving hints from regular visitors of C.'s ice-cream-parlour. It is a delicate investigation, especially in the case of the team's global superstar Gabriele Turbato (7'5"), who has been married to a local woman for several years. His spokesman declined to comment. Portuguese junior player Cristiano Sapata (6'11") is at the center of the investigation, since language-wise he would have had few problems exchanging banter with the Iberian ice-lady. He has been tipped-off as a regular visitor to the 'Schleckeria'-ice-bar by witnesses. Reached by phone, he told us:
Some of us went there, also Roland (Strobl, 6'8", eds.). She was a very nice lady. I always got my cream for free. She said we must be nice to her always. I believe she had a husband once who was really a bad guy to her, she did not like it. But Roland and I, we are nice guys. I act out all my aggressiveness on the basketball court, where it belongs.
