After two seasons, I am back. Thank you for your votes! I expected to win the election with one vote (my own). To see three votes tells me that the Scottish community, which has shrunk to 6 active managers, cares about their NTs. This is excellent news!

I see our current situation as follows:
1) Ranking: The former manager did a fantastic job with a great team. We are ranked 34th, which is incredible considering the low number of active managers.
2) Roster: Some important players have left the team, but it's still a huge improvement compared to two seasons ago. There are also some high potential 18-19 year olds to have an eye on. I will scout players in the upcoming days. The final roster will be revealed on Friday.
3) Schedule: Looks easier than it is. If you look at their rosters, Sverige and Ísland are the better teams, even if they're ranked 51st/53rd. I think we will win 2-4 games this season.
4) Updates: Here's a message from BB-Justin:

I've made an update to the Utopia Nationality Draftee creation process to now include country size (# of users) as one of the parameters. Previously only National Team rank was considered.
The difference between top and bottom has also increased so the biggest/higher ranked countries will receive about half the number of draftees as the smallest/lowest ranked countries.

In other words: More Scottish players in the future

Congratulations! And also: great news about the change in the draftee creation process. The former solution would have punished the scottish community for being successful despite having such a low number of users. So that is excellent news, seeing more potential scottish u21/ NT players being drafted in Utopia. Same goes for the korean community which I'm kind of part of. That will definitely improve competitiveness of the National Teams.

It's a pity that it didn't work out to win. The plan was bold, but quite working.
If Tempe had not been eliminated at the 6th minute and Johnson was in the form of 8, they would have won by a margin. Well, Maxwell also attacked unreasonably badly, I hope it will get better further.

Injuries...
I thought it was the only possible way to beat them and Johnson is a great player to use for this tactic.

Very happy with the 15-man roster! Hoping to have more players with GS 8-9 next week.

GS was better this week, but the opponent was just too strong. Next week's game will be very important, as it is the first 'must win' of the season. Nevertheless, we shouldn't underestimate Albania.

Maybe I should integrate those upgrades for the german u21 as well.

First win of the season! Great team effort, 10 players playing 19-29 minutes and contributing to the victory. MacDade was called up because of his GS and skills, which matched the way I wanted the team to play on offense. Looks like that was a good pick.
I chose not to go TIE because I thought the might play CT.

I've been very busy and didn't have the time to write game reports. We lost against Iceland, Spain and Russia and are now facing Azerbaijan in the last game of the tournament.
The game against Iceland was not as close as I had hoped. The second half was terrible. I thought he would set the GDP to 'outside' and went with LI. The games against Spain and Russia were must-wins for the other teams and we played TiE, in order to be ready against Azerbaijan.

There have been many individual improvements, but I am not happy with how some managers handle GS. I wasn't able to effectively use players like Colville, who could have made a difference.

Our second victory of the season! I am very happy with this performance. We made 59% of our shots and had 26 assists. Unfortunately, this was our last game of the tournament.
I am desperately trying to find an opponent for Monday's scrimmage but no one's accepting my invitations. I really hope I'll find someone tomorrow...

We won our first scrimmage against Wales and are playing them again on Monday. The roster will look very different soon. We'll play with an U20 lineup for the rest of the season.
