Let me start by thanking the Nppon Community for supporting my candidacy for National Team Manager. The first thing I will do is post the first communication from the National team in 8 months.

Today marks the beginning of a new era for our Japanese National team. As manager of the team I will work terelessly on on the rebuilding and rebirth of the program to bring us back to a state of respectibility and pride for the Nippon Community.

We all know by now the challenges with the team and players currently so I will not spend anytime reminding you of it. from here forward we will take on the positivie mind set of how to grow and get better. We have a number of active and committed managers and we need to leverage that and all work together to ressurect our program.

I am excited for what the future holds. I know there are a number of young players coming up that will have the potential to lead the team in the future. I will work actively to ensure they are getting the focus and attention they deserve.

Today I will begin the process of building the roster for S19. I will hold enough players to be as competitive as possible this year and the remaining spots will go to players we are actively trying to develop. This means a player who is old or capped and does not earn a top 2/3 roster spot on the team will not be carried. We will need to begin a youth movement to bring in our best talent/potential players and get their owners focussed and excited about being part of the team.

This week I am in Dublin, Ireland on business so my hours to work on NT will be a bet skewed, mainly overnight in Japan. I need to run to meeting for my day job and will get straight to work on building our team when I return to my hotel room this evening. I will post updates on the team structure as they come along.
