Scotland hop across the North Channel tomorrow to face the boys in green in a friendly. It's another good opportunity for the younger lads to make an impression and for the rest of the squad to stake a claim for regional superiority.

As we begin theblacktornado's lame duck season, he felt it was necessary to clear up any speculation about the future: "I will not be running for NT manager after this season," he said. "We had a trying qualification period and I think it would be a bit daft of me to ask for another term based on that. The goal for this season will be to build the best team possible for next season's qualification, and for me to help the incoming manager for the sake of continuity. It has been an absolute pleasure to serve."

A rumor had been circulating about theblacktornado's desire to spend NT money on the construction a statue of himself outside of the Irish Parliament building. Requests for comment were not returned.
