Maybe Lyle just saved some energy in order to score 40+ points next game?

We didn't experience any problems in the match with Barbados, victory, +62.
It should be noted that the match was held at home and I guessed the opponent's pace. Nevertheless, the match turned out well, especially in defense. The opponent made less than 15% of shots, earned less than 40 points. But our team was going for it, the progress in the defensive skills of the team over the past two seasons is significant. We attacked well, but without brilliance. Shots from beyond the arc rarely hit the target. But so far it is quite satisfactory.
Turkey is visiting ahead, I will try to soften our defeat.
No upgrades this week =(

That‘s what is usual for senior NTs. So maybe that‘s a good sign that your players are finally close to international competitiveness. But I wouldn’t object to you seeing some green arrows on future Fridays!

…and by the way: congrats on the victory!

The match with Turkey was played. Defeat, -23.
Considering that the match was held away, this is a good result. It turned out to be quite a big difference between the percentage FG from us and the opponent. But this difference was reduced thanks to offensive rebounds and free throws.
The attack tactics didn't play quite the way I wanted. I didn't really like the distribution of our shots in this match. There weren't many attacks through Boyd. But 88 points scored is a good indicator for us.
Ahead of the match with Andorra, we need to win.
Upgrades: MacKersey +1, MacShimes +1, Lawson +1, MacNuir +1.

Yesterday we played a match with the Andorra team, the victory is +28.
We played in a lower mood, but on the home court. Lyle was also injured a couple of days before the match.
Our team started the match confidently, got a comfortable lead in the first quarter, then we just finished the match. I am glad that we beat outsiders without any problems, not in the best squad.
Boyd and Fitchy got a good statistical line. Losiak and Lawson successfully came off the bench. I would really like the team to show itself 100% in the match against Portugal, but I don't think Lyle will return in good shape. Nevertheless, there are only two tournament matches ahead.
Upgrades: Lochiel +1, Lawson +1

We lost to Portugal, -44.
The game was unsuccessful from the very beginning, we played the worst attacking match this season. the wrong attack tactics affected. Princeton performed very poorly, our leaders did not have a good game at all. But I wanted to test my tactics on a strong opponent. The opponent in response dominated under the basket. Although Portugal is a very strong team compared to us.
The last match of the tournament is ahead for us, we will play at home with Azerbaijan. I expect a confident victory.
Upgrades: Lochiel +1, MacShimes +2, Michael +2, Lawson +1.

We completed the consolidation tournament with a confident victory over Azerbaijan +72. We take is 45th place, the difference is 4w-4l, the score is +36.
The match was quite easy, our wings scored points quite easily. In defense, they didn't give the opponent anything to show. Boyd becoming the most productive player of the match. But for some reason, this time he did not make several assists, preferring to attack more often.
As for the tournament, this is quite an expected result. If we have enough resources for confident victories over weak teams, then big problems arise with strong ones. The closest defeat was with Turkey, just like last year. But not to say that we were very close.
Also influenced the shape of Spens, which hit hard on the protection of the basket. We are waiting for young talented bigmen to grow up so that there is an alternative.
Upgrades: Boyd +1, Michael +1, Lawson +1.

We played scrimmage with Australia away.
According to the final score, we imposed a fight. But in fact, we were not very convincing under the basket, we lost close defense and rebounding. However, I purposefully exposed a light roster. But our attack looked decent. It seems that with simpler commands this can work.
Upgrades: Lochiel +1, MacKersey +1, Lawson +1, MacNuir +1.
Unfortunately, there is no time yet to collect statistics on tournament matches, but I will do it next week.
