Hey everyone again! The next season has just started and we are looking forward for starting the next tournment. We have played 7 friendly matches against several rivals that, at the paper, were notably better than us, with a result of 3 victories (Jamaica, Pakistan U21 and Scotland) that were well deserved and we lose against Hanguk (61) because of just one point (116-117) in a huge effort from the players. Another important point for the team was the debut of the main star from the Malta U21, Johan Scriha, in the last victory at 2nd overtime against Scotland. It was his first match but we trust him as a main team role for the future so he played 11 min, scoring 5 (2-3 FG) important points and gettin 2 reb and 2 asist.
The next weeks, our team will face Crna Gora (78) and Belarus (54) in official games, so we will try to do our best to get the victory and keep pushing for becoming a better team.
Finally, I want to say congratulations to the new U21 coach, Broderick94, a good friend of mine that has helped in my work as a manager and I am extremely confident about the job he can do with this young project that he is facing. I hope you help him the best you can as you do with me, so we will keep improving this team.
