Good afternoon, Eurobasket came to an end and we leave with a good taste despite the bad image that we could give. Our aspirations of achieving a victory against our main rival, Luxembourg, today were dashed by a difference of less than 10 points which puts us the last on our Eurobasket group. We must be clear, nobody expected us to make war in these games, at first sight we were the weakest of all the competition opponents, but at least we competed and we know better now how the team play. Definitely a shame not to have been able to transform the trust you put on me on the early season into a victory today, it was the least you deserve for the support, but although we made some mistakes,(of course we assume them, this was our first season as national team coaches),we have worked hard to get the maximum of the team we have. Now, it's time to schedule some friendly matches against interested rivals , hopefully we can get a victory now.
Looking ahead to next season I would make a request to the coaches who have players in our team. It is sometimes difficult for reasons of demand for our respective leagues, but please ask you steer undamaged to your players. Today we have decided not to have players who had worse shape than respectable and the result has been better than in any game, so it is quite evident that marks the difference in the face of our aspirations. I hope to have next season with promising young talents give us more game variations than the current team and hopefully good levels of defense, which is basic for us.
