Good afternoon for everybody! Time is running out and the tournment is about to start, just 3 days left. I don't know if you feel the same, but I can't wait to start! The Eurobasket tournment seems to be a difficult goal, of course our goal is not to win it because our present situation is not as brilliant as the other teams that have more experience in playing at this high level. In the opening match we face Poland, that is at the moment the 40th of the Global ranking and I am sure that our guys will give their best to put them under pressure, although we set off with an "worn out" enthusiasm due to a bad management of the previous staff. The rest of the Eurobasket group is formed by:
-Ceska Rep. (12th)
-Türkiye (24th)
-Portugal (27th)
-Latvija (44th)
-Sverige (61th)
-Luxembourg (62th)
Every rival is high leveled, so we will work to give the best image we can and we will also try to give the surprise and winning a match of the tournment. I have to say that the last Eurobasket we finish 0-7 in winning and with 556 points in favor and 943 against, so we are going to take this as the starting point and fight for doing better this year.
Before that, we have a friendly match against Barbados where you can see the new faces of the National Team and we would test some setting of the team before the start of the tournment.
I hope that with your support we will give a good looking playing style and try to keep improving the team for the future. Please have your players fit enough for the National Team matches, everything counts. A big hug and thanks for reading! :)
