Clogs win 5 straight and other ephemeral glories

(Please note: ephemeral glories is not a fancy way of saying the team's cheerleaders are operating an illicit glory-hole operation in the restrooms of Splijnterfuuts, no matter how many times you guys write that in on the fan survey.)

Dateline: Season 25. After a close road loss to begin the team's first season in II, the Clogs have somehow reeled off a streak of five consecutive wins and find themselves in second place in the once-Great 8. This weekend sees the team travel to take on Delta 9 at THC arena, where the Clogs' chance of winning is the only thing that's not high. Compounding the situation is that the Clogs then travel to take on the Reston Thumpers, and then face a credible threat on the road in the Cup in rhyminsimon's "Get to Division II and I'll use your team's name" team. The common thread here, in case it hasn't yet become obvious, is the road - as the Clogs begin their annual stretch of three consecutive league road games to coincide with the county fair.

I'm relatively sure this post cursed you. Take it down asap but put up a similar one on October 27/28 for obvious reasons.

That's genius, of course, but I'm disappointed you're not using those powers for good. After all, with great power comes... well, if I ever become great and powerful, I'll let you know.
