Mr. 2-17 gets the boot

Damien Harnois, starting SG for Eggplantpopolopolous, has quickly earned a nickname during this early season as he has recently been dubbed "Mr. 2-17". Why? Because the first two games of the season he started out shooting 2-17 FG at some point during the games. Last night was no exception as Harnois put up a woeful 7-25 FG, 2-10 3pt. The sad part about that being, this was better shooting than his season averages.

Management quickly heard the nickname floating around and have taken action. They have placed Damien Harnois on the transfer list, along with his backup Jerome Mylecharane who has equally put up some fairly horrible shooting numbers. Eggplantpopolopolous had quickly jumped on to two players from the transfer list and will be using them to replace the starting and backup SG positions that Harnois and Mylecharane used to occupy.

Management released the following statement, "The shooting guard position really needs to be filled with guys who can first and foremost put the ball in the hole but neither of these guys are playing to win anymore. Harnois and Mylecharane played an integral part in our championship season last year but they have clearly shown that after finally getting a championship ring on their finger that they have no intent to play hard any longer. They got what they wanted but we want guys who are working just as hard for the second championship as they did winning the first, I wasn't seeing that in those guys any longer so it was time for them to leave. Harnois and Mylecharane had their chance of keeping their spot on the team but last night was the last straw, especially when that game was still winnable."

Emeric Cusson and Yiorgos Spiliotis have just been acquired by the team and are expecting immediate positive results.
