Certainly proud of the rapid rise to Naismith, The Headless Thompson Gunners were a team ahead of their time.
Perhaps in a little over their heads in their first Division I go-round, it was nonetheless a tremendous learning experience for a young veteran squad.
Now the continued building of those youngsters coming into their prime coupled with a new batch of talented kids will make the next stop at the top more of a belief that they deserve to be there than just a gawking at the top flight talent around them.
Whatever it takes, how ever long, The Gunners will be a different lot the next time around and will not take their return to Division II as anything but another challenge.
