Ok Here we are, new season, new staff, new topic!
It's time for thanks. So, Thanks to the Japanese community for my election, Special Thanks to Orgram for is debate participation and Thanks too to Brutus for his work with the team last term.

First deadline, we have a scrimmage game this night against Canada!
No real goal for this one ... Just Testing our capacities ... and trying to win ;-)

This week will be quite different than next ones, I will take a look at most of Japanese Players.
Following this, I will announce a 25-30 players list who can be selected this season.

Good news, things are going well and players list is on track!
We've got some good players, not enough in my opinion but it's never enough.
For future, we've got somme good prospects and I hope that their owners will train them efficacely.


We will enable to win Canada's game but it's a good beginning.

Asia Championship Tournement presentation
Asia Championship Tournement for season 55 begin on Monday in Malaysia, Japan is on a group with Hong-Kong, Pakistan, South Korea, U.A.E., New Zealand and Philippines.

Here is our calendar:

There are 2 other groups with 7 teams each, 4 best teams of each group will go to second stage

Hong-Kong and Philippines are the best teams of the group but Japan have is chance to take the 3rd or 4rth place.

Asia TC Day 1: Hong-Kong
Begin with the better team of the group isn't the better thing but Japan will do the best it can.
I've selected 9 players for this first game, leting 9 spots free for the rest of the campaign.

Asian TC Day 1: Debrief
For the first game, we trusted in Takenaka, Kimiyama, Masuko, Matsuyama, Nagase, Misato, Jiawen, Oyanagi and Ooyama. At the final we weren't so far that I'had thinked, we lost 123-103, but it's not so far! Of course, we have to improve the team to play eye to eye with teams of this level, in particular on the defensive level, but there are some good news.

We can't miss masterful Mitsuyama's game even if we know he will be able to do even better, he finish it with 60 pts at 25/51 and 6/13 at 3 Pts. A tone below, Misuko and Oyanagi made a good game too 17 pts, 5 pass for the first and 12 Pts, 18 Rbds, but 6 loose balls for the second. That 's it for individual performance, for the rest of the team, it was more difficult.

More speaking, in my opinion, in terms of collective statistics, no surprise, Japan was dominated in most areas, Rebounds, Assists, steals, turnovers. But despite this, the team competed well in the shooting percentage (46.6% Vs 49% and 44.4% at 3 pts Vs 44.8%), and it's a real satisfaction.

Next Monday it will be Pakistan turn.

Besides we lost, Hong Kong is still too strong for us, it was a good game. Pakistan will be a good game to prepare next game against Korea

Ok this week we have no Asian Tournement game, so, we have scrimmage against Singapore.
I add a player to the roster, Kentaro Nagata who play in Peru.

Prediction game will begin next Monday, I will make a special topic for it tomorow or wednesday.

I was a little disappointed for this Hong-kong game cause at final, we are not so far, prediction was not good and I could put more intensity and maybe we could have won this match, but we could also have lost by 15 points, it was a bit risky and not very logical.

I'm sure Pakistan will be a good preparation game but victory is imperative.
