New team stats just updated (after Round 6), found from the familiar place/post, here: (326590.9)!

We're not even halfway through the season, so given that last update took after Round 4, every game still affects statistics values (averages) a lot, especially if match score or statistical values have been a bit on the dramatic side/differ a lot from typical ones.

So having updated them now, I noticed there have indeed been some changes on team positions and values, so please everyone check them out if you're interested in stats and want to see what are your future opponent's strengths and weaknesses! :)

Great stats ;)

Yes, I agree, stats do look great for your team :D

But I hope many of you guys will get some joy out team stats, and that they make the HGL experience feel more deep and interesting for you all. They do it for me, while at the same time I realize not everyone is into stats. Well, for them who don't especially like or appreciate stats, having them around makes no harm, so it's all good anyway!

Big Chillers v Buckner Bandits (133878037)
Big Chillers 78 - Buckner Bandits 115

Buckner Bandits Crush Big Chillers, Improve to 2-5

The Buckner Bandits picked up a much-needed win in the Home Grown League, overwhelming the Big Chillers 115-78. The Bandits dominated from start to finish, outscoring the Chillers in every quarter and showcasing a balanced attack on both ends of the floor.

The Bandits set the tone early with a 27-13 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. They shot an impressive 50% from the field and 53% from three-point range, while holding the Chillers to just 33.7% shooting overall.

Mick Hunt led the scoring with a stellar 31-point performance, hitting 13 of his 19 shots and knocking down four threes. Gavin Patterson powered the inside game, adding 20 points and 13 rebounds. Kevin Moore ran the offense with precision, dishing out 11 assists to go along with 12 points. William Moore anchored the paint with 7 rebounds, 12 points, and strong interior defense.

The Bandits’ defense was sharp all night, forcing 16 turnovers and holding the Chillers to just 78 points. They also dominated the boards, outrebounding Big Chillers 50-48 despite giving up some size inside.

Big Chillers' lone bright spot was C. Peck, who poured in 35 points, but it wasn’t nearly enough to keep up with Buckner's relentless attack.

With the win, the Bandits move to 2-5 and will look to build on this momentum heading into their next matchup.

Updated league tables are again available on both official HGL threads!

I think your team had a good performance despite the loss... Few notes statistics wise:

My team previously had 98,2ppg scoring defense, and you were able to score 90 (your scoring offense average 66,2ppg before last night).

Also, you actually outrebounded (!) me on the offensive glass (19-14), and lost total rebounds only by 4.

And even though like you mentioned elsewhere your assist to turnover ratio remained negative due to 23 turnovers (and 18 assists), it was still far superior yesterday at 0,78 compared to your season average of 0,55 after 6 Rounds of play. As far as those 23 turnovers go, I was able to get 5 more (than your season TO average so far, 16,8) than "anticipated" partly due to FCP tactics, but I guess it also opened up a bit easier scoring opportunities...

So, shooting .358 from the field and .370 from the 3 point land are above your season average (I think as I haven't calculated actual percentages for all your matches, just took a look at numbers and made some mental math), so I think there are lots of positives to take with you to the next round of games... :)

Round 7 : Elan Demars 100 - 104 Les Gueux du Marais : (133878362)

Wow, what a Round we had! We actually had a new HGL record for games decided by 5 points or less per round - 3 games out of 8 in fact were true nail biters this time!

Rajdersi was able to pull an upset win as a slight underdog against Suuret Muinaiset, and WiMaOlCa was so close in doing the same to Heywood Big Dogs, which has one of the most expensive rosters in HGL!
I don't think I've ever seen such an ending of a match in a BB match viewer: WMO was down by 3 when one second was left in a game clock, and they actually scored a buzzerbeater, but a 2 pointer instead of three pointer that would've been needed to force the match to the overtime - an unfortunate tactical mistake at a critical time!
While it's obviously very frustrating for the losing team, and it is critical tactical mistake from players, I guess it's still good that not everything in BB is optimized to the absolute perfection, as these sort of situations can once in a while happen in real life as well, especially as players are in a pressurized situations... Anyone who was watching NCAA D1 Mens National Championship Final this year knows what I'm talking about.

And of course, like you mentioned demars, Les Gueux du Marais was able both predicting your tactics correctly and also guess your offensive orientation correctly, and being able to secure 68,9% of match total rebounds - those factors probably secured an underdog a precious win in this exciting match between French teams this time around!
