Thanks Hadár! :)
Like I mentioned, in addition to some other extra stats (yes, some of those 13 extra categories that I mentioned about in my previous post) FG% and 3p FG% offensive and defensive stats would be interesting as well, but if I calculated it right, what it would take during the season to do that, is to calculate manually (with calculator) almost 4000 stats entries (such as '145', '1442', etc.), and then also transfer those entries into another table manually.

Two challenges are involved with this; first of all more work (another 4000ish entries done manually), and second, doing things manually either dramatically increases the possibility of data entry errors or at least makes the process slower, if I want to absolutely make sure no errors exist. I'm not fan of doing mistakes, neither I'm fan of using excessive amount of time for one stats category per season. Or I of course would, but last time I checked, I'm still not officially working for BB xD

I have done this (FG% data entry) experimentally for few teams now to see how much effort it takes, and let's see if I get the rest done so that I could publish some of those stats. I just fear it's too much work to keep updating it for the duration of whole season(s), even for someone who loves stats, like myself.

The frustrating fact is, that many of those interesting 13 aforementioned extra stats categories require FG stats as a basis.

One of the stat that I haven't been able to find/find an easy way to calculate it, is the amount of ball possessions per team. Please let me know, if anyone knows how to easily and reliably acquire that number from BB stats.
AFAIK, as free throw attempts/any given free throw situation (1-3) aren't differentiated/specified in any BB stats sheet/compilation, it's impossible to count ball possessions per match from current stats. Am I mistaken?

Knowing that would enable me/us to calculate some more meaningful stats, such as 'offense turnover %', which is way, way better/more important statistics, than just knowing team total turnovers.

RS Round 4: Friday, April 18th, 2025
Madrid Choitis v Buckner Bandits (133877541)
Madrid Choitis 114 - Buckner Bandits 69

🏀 Game Report: Buckner Bandits vs. Madrid Chotis
📉 Final Score: Madrid Chotis 114 – Buckner Bandits 69
📊 Bandits fall to 1-3 on the season

It was a tough night at home for the Buckner Bandits as Madrid Chotis stormed into town and handed them their most lopsided loss of the young season, 114-69. Despite strong individual efforts from a few Bandits, the team struggled to find rhythm against Chotis' sharp execution and swarming 3-2 zone defense.

🔥 Top Performers – Buckner Bandits
Kevin Moore (PG): 19 PTS | 5 REB | 3 AST
Moore led the scoring effort with his relentless attack, finding success at the line (5-7 FT) and knocking down a pair of threes. But it wasn’t enough to spark the offense.

Mick Hunt (SG): 17 PTS | 4 REB | 5 AST
Hunt once again showed veteran grit, staying aggressive and going a perfect 5-5 from the charity stripe.

William Moore (C): 10 PTS | 9 REB
William battled inside, nearly posting a double-double, but was often swarmed in the post by Chotis' bigs.

🧊 Offensive Woes
The Bandits shot just 23.6% from the field and 18.5% from beyond the arc, their coldest shooting night of the season. No player shot over 35% from the floor, with standout shooters like Costello (2-19 FG) and Lawler (0-6 FG) unable to find the mark.

💪 Madrid Chotis: Dominance on Display
Madrid Chotis controlled every aspect of the game:

A. Marroquín (PF): 29 PTS | 22 REB | 11-12 FT – an unstoppable force in the paint.

J. Castro-Girona (SG): 22 PTS | 8 REB | 7 AST – played both facilitator and scorer.

M. Bagunyà (C): 16 PTS | 18 REB | 4 BLK – owned the glass and protected the rim with authority.

Chotis outrebounded the Bandits 69 to 39 and shared the ball with 30 assists on 46 made field goals.

🚨 Looking Ahead
With the loss, the Bandits fall to 1-3 and will need to regroup quickly. Rebounding, offensive execution, and perimeter defense will be key focus areas in practice before the next matchup.

Despite the blowout, there were flashes of chemistry and hustle. If the Bandits can clean up their shooting and maintain defensive intensity, they’ll be in position to bounce back.

Interesting numbers.....

Thanks again, Hadár...
And you might like to hear about the latest news: fresh batch of new special stats, all-new to HGL have just been made available on that same post - 8 new categories in total!
More on them later (as I'm now too tired to write a longer post), but I just list recently added categories here:
1. Scoring Margin
2. Scoring Offense
3. Scoring Defense
4. Total Rebounding % (rebounding rate)
5. Offensive Rebounding %
6. Team Assist/Turnover ratio
7. Team Steals+Blocks per Turnover-ratio
8. Team Steals+Blocks per Fouls-ratio

Like I said, we can discuss more about (especially all these special statistics categories) a bit later in more thorough manner, but long story short: I always wanted to have these kind of stats to be available in Buzzerbeater or in buzzer-manager (or that for instance Finnish basketball league, Korisliiga, would provide these stats for real life games), but as they aren't, I guess there's no other way than to create them myself ;)
So I hope you all enjoy these HGL stats, at least half as much as I do, and let's keep on discussing about them... If you´re not enjoying what you see when you look at team stats (because you're not as high on the table as you'd like), then - as being HG team is more or less like a marathon - maybe you can copy these team stats at the end of the season 1 for your further reference, and hopefully will get some inspiration when you compare your Season 1 stats after 2-3 seasons, as you've climbed up the ladder on several statistical categories.

If you have any requests/wishes in terms of new statistics categories, you can send me a suggestion and we can see if it's something that could be somewhat easily implemented/introduced to HGL as a new team stats category. :)
However, my current stats post just ran out of characters, so in the case of added categories, I need to make another post elsewhere, or replace some of the existing categories on current team stats post.
