Thanks for pointing out my mistake. I was surprised I missed it. It's been fixed.

Another close and frustrating loss for us. After having met Wagner College in the 5th round of BBM tier 3 and winning by a buzzerbeater, a close match was expected from this HGL game as well. I was able to anticipate the opponents' outside offence and defense and choose my tactics accordingly but still, with J. Kunttunen carrying Wagner College with his 42 points, and a furious 4th quarter in general, I must admit to my tenth loss in the HGL this season. Especially in the last couple of minutes, we were not able to hold on to the game anymore, as E.Karu, who suffered a big fall to his game shape last week, took the initiative and lots of unsuccessful shots, while the opposing players pretty much sunk every shot and free throw during that period. Good win, Wagner, and good luck for the last games! I believe our matchup might be interesting for the coming season as well

Good win, Wagner, and good luck for the last games! I believe our matchup might be interesting for the coming season as well :D

Indeed, very even game was expected from my behalf as well, and that's exactly what we got. (On this season it has been pleasant to see the amount of even or relatively even matches in HGL in general).

Karu has truly been worthy of his name (in Finnish, can be translated for instance to ´harsh´) to his opponents this season, so I was lucky to avoid some of the bullets (read: field goals) that he tried to sink in that match, restricting him to 33,3%FG accuracy instead of his "normal" 45%.. (He's also leading scorer of Bc EOS in "regular BB-league" with 23.2ppg average).

Lauri Rannala (EOS) instead was scoring at will (24p, instead of "normal" 17,5ppg), but especially excelling in rebounds with 19 boards (instead of normal average of 10,5rpg). Also Mart Vanda (EOS) had an excellent game with almost triple double (which is not his normal average, especially in assists).

So yes, more even matches to be expected, at least before most of my current "star players" are starting to age (and weaken) soon. Good luck to you also for the rest of the season, it's a fiery fight for the last Playoff spot in your case against Suuret Muinaiset (however, having said that, also Madrid Chotis and Club Trouville also possess a chance of clinching a last Playoff spot, but that's not in their hands anymore as they're trailing by 1 win before last two Rounds)!
