It shows a perseverance and good spirit from you, that you're ready to accept some losses as well due to deciding(/or having to) to make changes to a team - probably most or all of us have been on that development stage of a team at some point (well, not necessarily simultaneously when participating to HGL, but nevertheless when participating to our "regular BB-leagues"), in where one is not having close to optimal roster and has to find motivation from the idea, that they'll be stronger in the future.
So it's great to see there are managers, who don't participate to HGL only if they feel they have a chance to win medal for instance, but instead want to be part of HGL in the long run no matter in which stage (of development) their team is in. :)
Yes, of course if someone 'new' reads this, it's also necessary to set up your expectations to a realistic level if you participate with lower skilled team, as level of HGL has definitely gone up - so if winning games is very important to you in terms of maintaining motivation, then it's probably advisable/necessary to train your team to certain level before participating to HGL.
