Success is sustainable

You Should've Dunked's season has ended tonight at the hands of Pancakes with Jam and Cream, but only the most demanding of YSD fans would call the campaign anything but a success. To go 15-7 in the regular season, and win a play-off game, all with this roster that was only costing me $202,185 per week in salaries, is surely something to be happy about. Try telling that to the guys who take the fan survey though :P.

This whole competing with a low-salary roster gimmick certainly isn't a new thing for my team; it all started in season 23, when I took a team that was earning just $72,568 per week to a 16-6 record in III.1. This was followed up with an 18-4 record with a 101k roster in season 24, and capped off with a 21-1 record and a league championship with $145,562 worth of salaries in season 25. It was nice to see this 'low salary, no weak links' approach still work wonders in the more competitive division II.3 this season.

Don't know what changes I'll be making to the squad for season 27 yet, but once again I'll be trying not to waste any excess salary on star players that can't really be used to their full potential if you don't put a team around them...
