The deciding game had it all; injuries, foul outs, controversy, and two teams that were neck and neck with each other for virtually the entire game, until the final few minutes where one team managed to pull away for the victory... ours.
I'm not going to go too overboard with my celebrations, for I believe my team didn't so much win this series as Jerries lost it. See, had Coach R bought a rental centre a week earlier than he did, and therefore defeated Melbourne Redbacks in the final round of the regular season, my team doesn't even have a shot and is just playing for game three. You can't help but feel sorry for the losing finalist in such a close series, especially when they've spent seven seasons in III.1 now...
I'd like to point out a recent trend in III.1 league champions; For four straight seasons (starting in season 22), the league champion has ended up being the team that lost in the finals series the season prior. If this trend continues, Coach R is now the heir apparent and will win in Season 26. So, good luck for next season, and I hope there's no hard feelings between us...
