We pulled out a good win tonight taking China down 71-67
(58444)
Some nice plays in the 4th after a disgraceful 1st quarter.

MVPs
3- Veitayaki
2- Thompson
1- Seager

All big guys that came to the party. The guards had an off night. Lucky Isakka hit one when it hurt them with 19secs to go.

New pools will be out and we will hopefully get a favoured draw after going 6-0 in the first pool

Defeated NZ tonight 84-71
Closer than id maybe anticipated but that is a credit to their training program! Losing the rebound count was a surprise, but our 3pt % was bak up to a nice 35%, and back up to 70% FG after our lazy 21% FT% last week.

MVPs-
3- Isakka 18pts, 7-13FG%, 4-6 3pters
2- Mourish- 17pts, 4 boards, 3 assists
1- Gaze- 12pts, 7 assists, 4 boards

Next up is South Korea

Tonight we defeated South Korea in a one sided affair.
(59011)

Shooting at 55% FG was a highlight, as were the 28 assists and dominant rebound count, all contributing to the strong performance.

MVPs
3- Tambouras
2- Gaze
1- Seager

It got a little ugly in the end, depending on your perspective, didn't it. Nice work! It's a decent squad you've got going there.

Well, it was a tricky game to manage through, but we saved enthusiasm and took the win in the final minutes of the game against Thailand. Down the whole game and by double figures in the last 6mins, the team locked down in defense to overrun the Thigers in the final minutes.

MVPs-
Isakka- 20pts on 10 of 18 FG. 7 boards, 2 assists. Caught fire in the last 5mins to hit 5 shots in a row and win the game for us.
Gaze- 14 assists, 5 boards. Didnt shot select very well going 3-10 FG for his 8 pts.
Mourish- 15pts, 5 boards, 1 assist.Hit a crucial shot late when the game was there to be won in the last minute to take the game out of reach.

(*) Season 52 Wrap up (*)

That was a great season. The quality of players we saw rose, and the minimum standard lifted. So well done to the top trainers of season 52. The last week didnt go our way, with Isakka, our star scorer going down injured and unable to create havoc as intended. But the defeat was with heart and determination, we almost saw a finals birth. Next season will be huge. HUGE!

(BB) season MVPs (BB)

Gaze- 3, 3, 1, 2, 2 = 11 votes (trophy)
Isakka- 3, 1, 3, 3 = 10 votes (*)
Thompson- 3, 3, 2, 2 =10 votes (*)
Garmston- 2, 2, 2, 3 = 9 votes
Seager- 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, 2 8 votes
Veitayaki- 3, 1, 3 7 votes
Mourish- 2, 1, 2, 1 6 votes
Tambouras- 3 = 3 votes
Yu- 1, 1= 2 votes

Congratulations go out to Miszalinus, a polish manager with his Zombie BC. They trained an exceptional PG for us and maintained very consistent GS for us all season long. It was often difficult choosing guards with he, and Garmston both outstanding PG skills. Runners up, myself training Isakka in my Redbacks Utopian team, u21 trainee number 11, and possibly Australias highest u21 producing team (id need to check with Cove Convicts long list of weapons, once again producing another PG in Garmston this season). Tied runner up, Thompson, trained by up and coming Aussie trainer Patrick Beverley of the Easy Money Snipers. Thompson was our most relied upon big man all season with consistent game shape and high inside game. Without these guys committing to week in, week out focus, this team would not have been as great as it was.

Please inform me of any up and coming stars, keep touching base on the offsite forum. Scouting begins...... now!
