Hello to everybody who will read this. :)
I thought a little bit what kind of upgrades would be nice to see and this so-called characterization came to my mind. What do I mean when I say characterization? I mean on epithets that basketball players in real life get according to their style of play.

For example: Rudy Gobert - Rim protector; Kyle Korver - Sharpshooter; Kevin Durant - Scorer; etc...

Those characterization could be randomly selected based on height. For example: Players with 213cm have the most chances to get "rim protector" characterization, but players between 206 and 213cm also have a chance to get that characterization, but lower.
All the characterizations could bring specified advantages in training speed. That speed boosts doesn't have to be huge, but only to be easier and more fun to train different types of players.

Also, maybe those characterizations and boosted skills can bring lower raise of salary by that specified skill and also what is interesting to think about it is potential. Maybe boosted skills can spend player potential a little bit slower.

And the last thing that came to my mind is disadvantage for players by their characterizations. For example, if player have a "scorer" characterization and he has a boost on jumpshot, inside shot, driving and jumpshot range, maybe his defences should suffer.

Suggestions for characterizations and their boosts (I'll write some percentages, but only for example):

PG: Playmaker (Passing +20% handling +10% jumpshot -10% jumpshot range -15%)
Combo guard (Jumpshot +20% driving +20% inside shot +10% handling +10% passing -15% outside defence -10%)
Sharpshooter (Jumpshot +20% jumpshot range +20% passing -15% handling -10% driving -10% outside defence -10%)
Ball handler (Handling +20% driving +20% jumpshot range -10%)
Outside defender (Outside defence +20% handling -10% driving -10%)

SG: Sharpshooter (above)
Combo guard (above)
Outside defender (above)
Dunker (Inside shot +20% handling -10% driving -10%)
Scorer (Jumpshot +20% inside shot +20% jumpshot range +10% driving +10% outside defence -10% inside defence -10%)

SF: Scorer (above)
Dunker (above)
Sharpshooter (above)
Defender (Outside defence +20% inside defence +20% jumpshot range - 15%)
All-round player (Jumpshot +10% handling +10% driving +10% passing +10% inside shot +10% outside defence +10% inside defence +10%)
Big man (Inside shot +20% inside defence +20% rebounding +15 jumpshot range -15% jumpshot -10%)

PF: Dunker (above)
Big man (above)
Rebounder (Rebounding +20% inside defence -10%)
Rim protector (Shot blocking +20% inside defence +10% jumpshot range -20% jumpshot -15% inside shot -10% handling -10% driving -10%)
Brick wall (Inside defence +20% shot blocking +10% jumpshot range -20% jumpshot -15% inside shot -10% handling -10% driving -10%)

C: Big man (above)
Rebounder (above)
Rim protector (above)
Brick wall (above)

Take all this just us a concept. I really hope for some comments and suggestions on my suggestion. :)

Should it be hidden to opponents ?
It can make your players more predictible if visible...

Also you said it should be Linked to size and not position, in your post you link it with position.

I didn't think about it. Maybe should be, but also maybe not... In real world all of us know that Curry is a sharpshooter and no matter how much you guard him he will get his 3-4 three-pointers per match. Just one example...

I did it, because I wanted to make easier for people to imagine play styles. For example, the most of best dunkers plays SG or SF, but also we can see PGs with great athletic abilities. What I wrote in previous post should be just a sketch which characterization players would mostly get. Of course if we agree there are some kind of "height rules" which determines player's position. For example: PG <190cm SG 190-196cm SF 196-206cm PF 206-211cm C >211cm

The idea don't look bad, but it could this characterization is something similar to the difference in training speed of the skills and its relation to height...

In my opinion, there is a missing characterization por SG and SF... the 3 & D player.

First at all, this figures are bad and your math.
Pluses in your count are not equal with minuses in every your calculation.

E.g.
Big man: +55% , - 25% only (?!) so why train all others type of players - just send 5 big men on court!
etc.

If you try smt. to make better impact on anything then you should make equal with bad impact on others, what you missed.
Otherwise, it will be completely a new game and should change it's name.

In RL, Magic was a best PG I ever see. Now I love Ben Simmons. But in your point of view they should be PF(?!)

So, e.g. if you wanna make perfect shooter increasing his % then you gotta equalize it with poorest defense and others thing. And so on, similarly for other character types.

Normally, I wouldn't give you any answer, because you are proven liar and obviously you get butthurt whenever I write something, but I will now, because of community.

In case you didn't read everything I wrote, I will write it again. My post was just a suggestion, an idea for thinking, not carefuly designed plan. I didn't wrote "Hey admins, you should put this just like I said", but I said "Hey, here is an idea, let's talk about it".

In RL, Magic was a best PG I ever see. Now I love Ben Simmons. But in your point of view they should be PF(?!)


Yes, with their body they are SF more than PG, but because of their basketball IQ Magic was PG and Ben is PG now. How much more PGs with their height you can name? They are only 2 PGs and how many PGs ever played basketball. How much that is in percentage? You tell me, because my math is bad.

Good idea, but needs balance - I think players should have equal numbers of pluses and minuses in skills training. For istance:

sharpshooter: +15% JS, +15% JR but also - 15% OD -15% DR

of course numbers of % are to open to discussion but to get balance all pluses must be equal to minuses.

I dont think it is necessary to have % balance because the skills doesnt have equal speed rate, impact ingame, and influence on the salary.

For exemple its absolutly worth to have +15% DE and DI and -20% AG and Dribble even if the total % balance is -10%
