Welcome to season 30 where the blue side looks very strong indeed again and the red side look to be building teams with promise, with 3 new teams joining the blue side they certainly have their work cut out to stay out of the relegation spots.

We lost some solid teams last season especially with the injury struck Arrows relegating, the red side looks wide open with a very competitive and growing share of lineups, Pheonix look strong this year and CWA look a much more rounded lineup this season. Can Durham Wasps challenge for the top 4 this season after being newly promoted?

Over on the Blue Side, The White Tigers and Tatatallfella look strong as usual and the Tallfella's certainly cap the salaries for EBBL splashing out almost a million a week on players but can they do the double again this season? They certainly look the team to beat this time and I personally look forward to seeing a few less teams throwing their games this season (hint hint). Galaxy Walkers have been splashing cash, carrying the 3rd highest salaries in the EBBL into the first game.

All the newly promoted teams have a shot at staying up but need to be brave to be competitive as was proven last season. With that we would like to extend a welcome to all the new members to the EBBL, we are all looking forward to a season of change and challenge. Here's wishing you all the best of luck.

As is tradition we put a poll up to find out who is the favourite to win the season this year. Please vote for your favourite (non EBBL are able to vote as well if they wish)

Not a huge milestone, but of some significance to me, Phil Paulk, the first player I ever drafted in BB, became (probably) the first player to play for a team in all four divisions in England.

Absolutely chuffed with the win tonight. I caught Deportivo at a low point for sure, but still, winning away from home at last season's top team in this conference is really pleasing. After winning against a team who threw their game against me, and beating a team with a top player out injured, winning this one really makes me feel like my Wasps have finally arrived in the EBBL.

Ha! I have a current 20 game winning streak against blue teams. I am not at all confident I'll make it to 21.
