Perhaps there are sub-levels for Potential too... It would be kind of logical...

Why not? If there are sublevels of potential, this doesn't necessarily mean that all allstar* players are identical up to the decimal point.

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

Good point. And also, different positions may have different caps on salary range (I.E.: Centers are higher than point guards in salary)

The BB team has previously stated that this is not the case.

Maybe is not the position, maybe is just the skill distribution, but I have never seen an Allstar SF who improved when he was more than 45-48k. I trained a PG that reached the limits when he was 65k, and now Im training one with a virtual wage of 58-61k and keeps improving.

I have seen also some SF capped when they werent even 40k.
If someone finds an SF of 50k that keeps improving fastly I would be happy to see it.

About the sublevels, Im sure that the potential has sublevels, everything - related with skills - in this game has them.

isnt it hard hard 2 say? ... cause age/height/other skills must also be included in the analyzis of training speed...

My sf (3187235) was improving rapidly until I gave him an ill-advised jump shot training to take him to stupendous. after that, he received od training for many weeks to take him up one level of outside defense. so, he probably capped at around $61k.

I would suggest a link to this post in the "Important thread" topic that is sticky.

Maybe is just a level visible, but he trained a level and a half, or maybe nearly 2 levels.

Anyway, is one of the few SF that got capped so high, is a rare SF.

I have the theory that the JS based SF got capped much earlier than well balanced SF.

Hard to explain, probably had an incredible sublevel. Its the position? Or the skills related to the position. Maybe he popped in JS because he had a great sublevel but he was already capped. Could it be?

I doubt he was already capped since he had popped twice in outside defense just prior to js training, in line with my other trainees at the time.
