You start the game with $300K and every week you will get $50K for 4 weeks. So in total you will have $500K. Here are some pointers so that your finances start off on the right footing:
1. Only have 11-12 players. As a guide, fire those players with salary less than $3K. Don't bother trying to sell them, nobody will buy them. Try to fire before Monday as their salary is paid every Monday.
2. Don't go buying any players yet. Try to spend the next few days reading up on the help forum
(144856.1) or Malaysia forum
(163832.1) and surveying the transfer list. Budget about
$50K to buy 4 players3. Don't spend on staff yet. Having a basic PR and Doctor is fine now. For trainer, you should get yourself an advanced trainer. Try to target low salary and don't spend more than
$50K (Should be a lot less)
4. Increase your arena size. For starters, you can increase your arena size by 500 Bleachers, 50 Lower Tier, 10 Courtside and 3 Luxury Boxes. This will cost you
$203K5. You cannot change the arena ticket prices this season already. But next season is coming soon, so survey other managers in your league and try to see what kind of prices you can charge. A general rule for starters is to set 80% of the maximum arena price.
6. For scouting, you should set either $10K - $20K so that you can have good scout potentials end of next season.
7. For the remaining ~$200K, save it until next season. Which starts 15 Jan. During that time, trainees (18-19yo players) are very cheap on the transfer list due to managers just got their new draftees, so you should be able to get 2 decent trainees (min Star potential and 18-19yo) during that time.

Additionally, you should make sure you train at least 2 of your 19yo players for the remaining of this season so that you can make them a better player. The following 2 players should be good candidate for this season
(18755261) and
(18755263). You probably won't train them next season anymore, but whatever skills you can increase this season will be an added bonus. Preferably train on defense. But really depends on their current skill sets. To train make sure they have played at the trained position for 48 mins for the week. Training week resets every Friday afternoon.
