Hello and welcome to BuzzerBeater!

Congratulations on starting your franchise and making the first step towards creating the next BB dynasty... but what now?

Complete the BB Tutorial

First, completing the BB Tutorial will allow you to learn about the game quickly and make up to $250,000 as each completed task in the tutorial will award your franchise $10,000. Additionally, once you have completed the tutorial, your franchise will be given its 3 "Franchise Star Players". These players are typically much better than the other players on your team and will be key contributors in your first few seasons on BB. If you do not see the tutorial, you can re-enable it on the "Preferences" page.

In addition to the tutorial, reading through the BB Game Manual and Rules of Conduct is the best way to expand your knowledge of the game and prepare yourself moving forward. If you are a visual/audio learner, check out the Official BB YouTube Channel. Specifically, the New Franchise Guide:(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAY0KhWipbA&t=305s) and the Basic Training Guide:(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yN_0E74KkqY)

Your Next Game

1) Your team's next game should be posted in the top right corner of the page under "Your Next Game", along with how soon the game will begin. This could be a league game (Tuesdays and Saturdays), cup game (Thursdays), or BuzzerBeater Madness game (Wednesdays). You can click on "Set your lineup!".

2) At this point, it is not a bad idea to open up a separate page with your team's roster on it. Many new users are unsure how to pick their lineups, but one good way to start is by listing your roster by position, and selecting the highest paid baller for each position as your starter, the next highest for your backup, and so on. However, you'll probably also want to consider the age of your players since younger players will train faster, and will be around for longer. Also, you might consider putting in a strong Point Guard (if you have extra) instead of a weaker Shooting Guard, for example.

3) From your TACTICS page, you should do the following:

- Select the 12 players who will take part in the match;

- Set your starting lineup, backups, and reserve players;

- Set your offensive and defensive tactics, as well as your team's attitude for the upcoming match. How you set these variables is entirely up to you. You should certainly try different set-ups every so often to see how well they work.

What if I still need help?

If you are not satisfied with your lineup, or are still feeling a little lost with the complexity of BuzzerBeater, there are tons of resources to help you be successful. Most prominently, you can find a BB mentor here: (319526.1) or ask questions in the Help thread. Hundreds if not thousands of BB managers are eager to help you strive for excellence!
