lol I need good GS for my cup run. Until PM gets called up for NT play the Cup is funding his salary.

Didn't really care for Alaska because it's a home game. I like to win my road games so I can get more gate revenue at the box office.

The whole last game mattering was fixed a long time ago I thought? (Didn't Marin or someone say it's an average of the last few games now?) Plus this gives you a blowout TV loss... it's going to crater your revenue from your next 2 home games.

I'm at the luxury tax though (for having too much money), so I don't really care about money anymore

You're in the perfect situation now though! You're going to coast to a 20+ win season & your fan mood will be through the roof. This may sound weird. But if that were me on the way up, I'd even make some minor *cuts* to my roster, & rake in as much money as possible the rest of this season, plus at least for half of next season. (not major cuts, but any older backups who won't impact win totals). Then be in really good shape to stick long term in D2.

Look, to prove I'm being sincere & not speaking out of self interest... I'd likely even throw our eventual playoff game this season, if you really wanted me to. (not saying that you couldn't beat me in a real game, you certainly could). If I really wanted to win this season I would just buy the title.

I hope you don't throw our playoff game! I'm really enjoying this season and I've got some ideas for how to take you down. Been looking ahead and I have plans to take you on fair and square, so I hope you're ready to rock! Should be a really good playoffs between us, Rochester and Mountain Eagles.

Thanks for the free win! That 48 min for Knutson should help him get a key OD pop and the 45 points will help him win MVP over your boy Mrosla!

You probably will now that I think about it. You're a really good manager & I didn't realize you had 3 $30k players already. (I've only got 1). With the rest of the season to train Knutson, he should be quite a force by the end. I'm thinking 65%+ chance you make the finals. With your team as is.

I've kind of talked myself into wanting to stay in D3 now So I'm happy either way.

Well adding a $70k PF is one way to do it I guess. Shrug.

I've been wanting to shore up the frontcourt for awhile now. Iorga Dan has had his moments but I want to promote and he wasn't going to get it done against some of the other bigs in the league. Alvariza won't be a long term solution but he could help get me over the hump, and I'm training Matsas and Schilling to take over in a couple seasons. Not sure what my gameplan will be if I get to D2 but hopefully Alvariza helps. I still don't know if he'll even be enough to knock you off, your team is such a mystery to me.

As long as you don't blow me out too badly tonight, I can lose my final 2 games & still cling to 1st place! (even despite your 900 point win vs tough skewing the PD) Forgot what I set but I think I'm just using my training lineup tonight. Have to admit... this game will a giant disappointment after what you said last month though. Seemed like you had some clever or amazing game plan, but it's all kind of for nothing now. And just a bore now. Since your new guy is making triple the salary of my best big. Can't imagine you not winning by at least 20 points any time we play from here on out. Regardless of what tactics you use!

Won't be watching the game tonight, so try not to injure anyone please. And hopefully I don't injure one of your guys either.

Speaking of tough, it would be funny if him throwing your game cost him 1st place based on point differential. I'm kind of rooting for a Gremlins vs Ashkickers finals. Though Rochester would be fun too.

I think you're overvaluing my big. I needed somebody to help defensively, I only had one big over 12 ID, and this guy's playing lower than his salary due to a couple of drops over the course of the season. I still think it will be a good matchup between us. Looking toward the finals (should I make it that far), I knew tough was going to add a big and my bigs didn't stack up to Rochester or Ashkickers. So that was my thought process, not buying a win against you.

Also, tuning into the game I'm sorry to see one of your players got hurt. Hope it's just for this game!

Nice win by you with less effort! Was just happy to avoid a major blowout for PD purposes. I knew an injury was coming! Last game my SF was injured 2 minutes in. Now my SG only lasted a minute, as if to one-up him. At least they were just single games.

Yeah I get you about the skill drops. Your new guy is still putting up monster ratings though! Sam Head became kind of useless due to them & was supposed to be replaced already. Not playing 46 minutes in a big game! I really screwed things up by forgetting to schedule a scrimmage the week after the all-star game. So his would be replacement had 2 straight weeks of zero minutes. Then got hurt 10 minutes into the third week. Which really tanked GS plus all the missed training too ><
