I used to pay so much more attention to the game, but I forget to log in for days or even weeks nowadays!
Way back in the day, I actually drafted and trained two of the all-time top 10 scorers for the USA NT at one point (Joe Bronson and Martin Medrano) but that was when I worked a 45 hour a week cubicle job where I had hours to waste every day on the internet.

If I pay attention, this roster could actually be pretty amazing, I have a ton of talent, but I keep forgetting to keep up with it.

Well I guess this is goodbye. Moving on to DIV III. We will see how long I stay there. I wish everyone the best of luck next season.

Well I have a hell of a dilemma on my hands. I have been training bigs the last couple of seasons, but I just drafted the stud below:

Donny Dutton (41560477)
Weekly salary: $ 3 976

DMI: 0
Age: 18
Height: 6'4" / 193 cm
Potential: superstar
Game Shape: respectable
Jump Shot: respectable Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: respectable
Driving: mediocre Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: inept Inside Def.: respectable
Rebounding: mediocre Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: pitiful Free Throw: awful

Experience: atrocious TSP: 59 (38 + 21)

So should I sell him, and use the money to upgrade my guards; or train him and get out of the big man business eventually?

Congratulations on the league title Swamp things and best of luck in D.3

As for Donny, your stud draft pick, I think it depends on what you want your team to do over the next few seasons. Since my kitties just came down from D.3 last season, I would say that your team is currently a bubble team for staying up in D.3. Think you need some upgrades to better compete in D.3. It also depends on if you have another few seasons in which you can train your current bigs.

If you 1) want to stay up; 2) have some cash in the bank; and 3) can continue to train your bigs for a couple more seasons, I would sell Donny for some serious cash and use that cash, plus what is in the bank, to upgrade a guard, preferably both guards.

If you 1) don't mind a short stay in D.3; 2) don't have a lot of cash on hand, and 3) your bigs are nearing the end of their training cycle, I would train Donny up to be a star, but know that it will be a long D.3 season for you and you will end up back in a D.4 league. If going this route, I would sell some other players and get another stud guard trainee to train up along side Donny, to form a killer back court down the road.

As your promotion to D.3 was hard earned, I think option #1 is the better one, but your call. Good luck!

My big problem was I spent my cash reserve to make the push. I think I am going to train him, and upgrade my trainer as well this season. I can also round out my bigs a little more. I will accept the fact I will relegate, and hopefully pick up another good draftee. It might also give me the chance to stockpile some more cash.

Your call on what you do with Donny. But if you sell him, you should be able to replenish your bank account easily.

If training him, sell some other guys to raise enough cash to buy someone else to train along side him in other matches to form a killer back court down the road.
