Read the book Moneyball by Michael Lewis (fantastic book about putting value on stuff, and finding value that you do not have to pay overprice for) - it is about The Oakland Athletics, and how they, by ruthlessly trading for players which noone else believes in because of for instance apperance and just looking at statistics - manage to create a winning baseball team for 1/3 of the price of for instance New York Yankees. Billy Beane is their general manager - and allthough he should not get all credit for what the A's have done, he certainly changed how quite a few in baseball view players and their value. Just love this book. Very clever in my view.

I am kinda interested in how the big teams are managing not to go I debt because I still think with our finance that is way too much salaries to pay out.
Just wondering tbh

Cup revenue of $50K should help bridge some of the gap, if not all.
With most teams still in the Cup, it is hard to see for now.

Maybe only after All Star Week you can start seeing teams trimming down on their roster in order to not go into too much debt.

Well you are right tbh I reckon we will have to wait till then, and I forgot change my arena price which has made me loose a bit of money but hopefully it won't affect my income too much.
I haven't really finish working on my tem yet but then again I just don't want to get relegated, so should be fine hahaha

Actually the other day while surveying our league mates, I noticed a very interesting team.
For the first half of the season until ASW, the team had very low roster salary and lost every single game.
After ASW, the team made a few key purchases which enabled the team to win most of the remaining games.

In the end, the team managed to reach the league Finals. Although, did not win the league but managed to still promote.

So, it is hard to say if it will be easy to avoid relegation just by looking at the current opponent strength.
