I guess it's just a case of new managers getting used to language each year. Nothing more nothing less. Either way, Nevada certainly adds a lot to this league if for no other reason then creating interesting challenges for us to decipher his posts.

With 10 out of 16 teams still representnig II.2 in the cup, who's confident of progressing to the next round.

I've up against a team ranked in the 190's and should be able to get past them without too much difficulty. They've only really got one player who poses any threat, which is their starting pg, and u21 national team representative Darren Hartley. Apart from him, i've got the advantage all over the floor.

Good luck with all the cup games tonight.

Senzo Tanaka Is My Shidoshi
I've managed to draw a compputer managed team in the cup next week, so i dare say it will still be a couple of weeks until I'm out of it. Though my team is getting worse and worse as I keep selling everyone. It's tanking time.

Lucky bugger. I'm facing off against a reasonably ranked div III team who has enough decent players to make me think i won't be able to take the game too lightly. Fortunately, his best players have crappy game shape and despite having salaries of over $50k, they've been putting up rankings of 8 and 9 playing in their normal positions. That will likely be their undoing as most of my team is well positioned with game shape.

This weeks games begin my favourite time of the regular season when teams begin crossing-over to the other side. Last year there was a debate as to which conference was the strongest - Big 8 or Great 8?

So who's the strongest this season. Will it be the Great 8 which has the form team of the league in the Dons steamrolling every team in it's path and SBV putting forward a strong showing yet again. Or is the Big 8 tops with a top 3 of SVM, GT and HSD all proving to be very tough teams.

These next couple of weeks will answer those questions, but who do you think is the strongest?

Don't be fooled the Dons aren't the team that will take out the season. My money is on HSD.

Got a pretty good chance of winning this week cup game though. I'll be able to run my full team too, so feeling good for it. Season games aren't a priority this week.

Oh how i wish i was in a position to say this. However, for those in the cup it is getting to the stage where a decision needs to be made whether to prioritise the regular season or the cup. Thankfully i think my teams depth is enough to cover me in the cup without hurting my reg season competitiveness. I mean in my last game all my players had a ranking of over 10, so that's a great sign.

I just need to ensure my training needs are still met because i'm hoping for a couple of training pops this week.

How many others are in my position with balancing the training of youngsters with being competitive. I know there's a couple that have gone the tank route, but I'm talking more about trying for finals while training at the same time? It's a pain in the arse i reckon.

my kids will be ready to be trained AND to go for the finals in 1-2 seasons I believe. it's just a matter of timing: you need to get'em ready at the same time, more or less.
