Hey MrJ,

Thanks heaps for the info!

I am really enjoying the game. I found the draft selection process pretty good. I've got 2 x 5/5 players at the top of my queue!

What do you find is more valuable amongst rookies - the first 5 star or the 2nd 5 star for potential?

For a new team would you recommend focusing your training on only players with higher potential?

Thanks, Corza!

That's great to hear. The BB community is pretty supportive so ask as many questions as you need to and often.

As for the 5/5/ draft balls...

They are both important but the second 5 balls is arguably the most important.

The first set of balls tell you how good the player's TSP (Total skill points) is likely to be. The second set of balls tell you how good the player's potential is. The higher the potential, the higher they can be trained.

Therefore, a 5/5 player might have a high TSP and might be a Superstar, MVP, Hall of Famer or a All-Time Great potential player. These are the players that are more easily trained up to great National Team players for example.

Are your 5/5 players 18 or 19 years old as this can matter?

Well, I’m hoping to get one of my top 3 but picking mid draft so might miss out on all the good ones. Unlike previous years I am actually targeting 19yos as the increase to TSP can give you a head start on training if you get lucky.

Yeah, mate, I'm doing the same. But I'm doing it as I'm a HG team needing bang for my buck. Sadly, it doesn't look like I'll get it this draft round despite having the best pick. 80+ points spent and no 5/5 19 yr old. I might still get lucky with a couple of unknown 5/? players.

It's a different story with my HG Utopian team...I'm excited for that one.

Imagine if my 19yr old Draftee was a HOF or ATG? (54726890)

I've never seen a draftee with a salary this high before! Not the big I was hoping for but he will be trained and is ready to play!

Just missed this player:

Aidan Dominik (54727201)

His manager will be a bot in a few weeks, so he should be available to train as a FA.

Another HOF lost to a BOT team. Sad.

Thanks for all the info mate!

I drafted a superstar PG (TSP 65) and a superstar SG (TSP 57). Both are 19.

So I will have a go training them both for now.

Is there any forums that give a good guide on training tips etc?

Thanks, Corza!!!

Nice work!

Without seeing their skill sets it is hard to get any advice.

What I suggest, to open it up to get multiple suggestions by people, is to do the following:

Go to the Help forum and create a new thread titled something like, Training Help for my Rookies ?
In that post, copy and paste the full skill sets (TSPs) of your players so everyone can see what you are starting with. This is what is needed for any of us to give you specific advice.

You might want to wait a couple days as many are busy organising their rosters in preparation for the new season. Be patient. Ask questions if you're not sure.

Listen to what people suggest and go with what seems right to you.

I just had a quick look at their salaries, heights and potentials and whether you train them as guards or forwards is all dependent on the level of particular skill.s
