Thanks for that, but no, I was asking eastendboy if he would share how many total skill points his PG had in 'guard' skills when he capped with perrenial allstar potential. I don't think it's an exact science and requires a lot of assumptions, but I think that's generally a good indication of when a player will cap.

78 in these specific skills.
Good question. It seems that it makes a significant difference where the skills points are settled when it comes to skill capping.

thanks. 2 teams had their guards cap with star potential around 65 total in the guard skills, so I though p. allstar would be a little higher, but seems like it should be roughly in that range.

I have another Guard with 7 potential who has 75 points among the 6 guard skills but much lower secondary skills than the one I've talked about earlier. He might cap this year and I can let you know how far I can take him.

thanks, that would be great if you could, although it may be more efficient not to train til he gets capped. I dont know if the secondaries matter much, except for rebounding... but thats just a relatively uneducated guess.

I'm about to find out:)

I know training would be a little inefficient if a trainee is about to or already reaching his cap. But I'm planning to keep him for a long time, so I want him to be a good as possible. I have another major trainee who needs guard skills too, so it wouldn't hurt too much if he actually reaches his cap.
