Please remember to organize new Playoff matches each week, if you keep on winning and are still participating on this Season's Playoffs!

I have updated my own box scores post (here: (326590.44), and I would like everyone to follow the same procedure as during the Regular Season, so please keep on adding your Playoff match links as soon as match has been organized (so that I can verify it and copy-paste it to official HGL schedule), and scores of matches to your team's own Season box score post (follow your teams' link on this post: (326590.4))

Easiest way to do this (which also retains some certain standard for HGL, and makes my life easier should the need arise to use these scores on your posts) would be to copy-paste everything below my Regular Season schedule to your box score posts (link provided above).

When organizing matches for Playoffs, please remember to be especially accurate with correct match court balance (always home/away for Playoffs matches!) as I can not verify that before match has started; remember that scores on wrong court balance will not be accepted!

We'd like to ask you to follow certain routines/rules when sending box scores to this forum so that we could make this manual updating process a bit more manageable to a league Commissioner.

So in addition to what has been mentioned before, there are some things to note and remember when sending box score links:

1. Please send box scores of your Pickup (PU) games as soon as possible, because league table is created based on these box score links and can't (or rather won't) be fully updated before all of you have sent all box score links from the given round of play

2. Remember, that PU games are not visible to other users than for the teams involved in the match, so either you or your opponent must send the link to the box score, as nobody else can do it

3. It is necessary to send box scores within certain time frame (timeframe still in consideration; TBA) so that we can keep updating the league table more or less regularly (as it's sensible to do the update with all box scores from that round available)

4. If you already see your game box score being sent to the forum (by your opposing team), there's no need to do it again. If you see it sent to a wrong thread (other than this), please do send it again in this correct forum thread. In some (unlikely) cases it might be necessary for a league Commissioner to send you a reminder by BBMail or on official league thread 'Home-Grown League (HGL) Season 1 Official Thread', if no box score of match has been sent to this forum thread.

5. Based on discretion, league Commissioner can also accept box scores sent to the aforementioned, official league forum, but as a basic rule all box score links should be sent on this, and only on this forum thread.

6. Please also bear in mind, that it is not a duty/obligation of a league Commissioner to send such reminder posts/BBMails, but managers involved in a match are responsible for sending box scores within the required timeframe (timeframe still in consideration; TBA).

7. It's the aim of the league Commissioner to update the league table within a decent timeframe of played matches to keep it relatively current. Many factors, including how quickly all box scores are being sent to the forum also plays a role in this, so everyone can speed up the process in their part by sending the scores to the forum without too much delay.
Given that all updates to league table are done manually, please be prepared to it that updates practically never won't happen as quickly as in a regular Buzzerbeater league (and if decided to be updated while still all scores from the round not being available, not all teams seem to have same amount of matches played, unlike in Buzzerbeater league table)).

8. We organize all regular season matches during one time window before the regular season starts, so when every manager does this properly, all the regular season matches will be played in time. Therefore if delays occur in sending box score links during regular season, in theory it's only because neither manager hasn't yet sent box score link to the thread (and not because match hasn't been played at all).

9.On the other hand, like mentioned before, playoffs is the riskiest time of the year for HGL, and if possible, we'd ask you to set up some reminders so that you remember to arrange playoff match for your team each and every week (unless you lose before semifinals, which is the last match of the season for your team).

We are now ready to organize all regular season matches for HGL Season 1!

If you´re unsure about process, please read: (326589.6), (324689.633) or ask questions on official HGL threads.


Info on organizing HGL regular Season 1 matches:

Very important: If you are responsible for organizing a PU game, you need to schedule it for the time listed on this page (in front of your team name): (326590.2)!

1. MrJ has produced schedule (15 matches/team), here:(324689.513).
Schedule (with links to team websites) can be found also from post by T-Lit: (326590.21).
Please note:
A) use either above mentioned schedules with bolded text when organizing matches. In these schedules the team that has bolded name, is responsible for sending Pickup match challenge, and your opponent is responsible for accepting it.
(Do not use this, otherwise official schedule, here: (326590.5) when organizing matches.
B) note, that above schedules do not include match time.

For each team an Official Local Time is provided, which they use when sending PU match invitations. Found (before team name), here: (326590.2).
Use only this time given to your team specifically, and nothing else, when organizing Pickup matches!

2. Before team sends or accepts match challenge, it is important to check out specifics of a match.
That means 3 things:
A) is day correct in a sent challenge? (check your own HGL schedule to confirm! Here: (326590.21), or here: (326590.5))
B) is time correct? (check your own team specific Official Local Time for HGL matches, link next one below).
Remember: if you are team sending challenge, you need to use designated time given to your team as a match time, found in this table: (326590.2)
If you are team that accepts challenge, match should take place at time that your team should play it's matches, your local time)
C) is court balance neutral (for regular season match)? If not, do not accept the match invitation. Matches played with wrong court balance do not count!
In such case, contact manager who has sent wrong challenge, and/or write a reminder on an official HGL thread, here: (326590.1), and/or send me a BBMail.

3. Send Pickup match invites to all teams, in which matchups your team name is bolded.
Schedule, here: (326590.21) or here:(324689.513).
To access each teams page easily, check T-Lit's post: (326590.21)
Again, please be very careful with all the specifics (day, time, neutral court balance) when you send invitations.

4. Accept all correct invites sent to you.
Check out:
A) should I be receiving this match invitation from this team? (HGL schedule provides answer). If not, don't accept it and contact manager by BBMail, send post to official HGL thread or BBMail to me.
B) If challenge comes from team that is supposed to send you a challenge, are all match specifics (day, time, neutral court balance) correct?

5. Check (and double check!) your BB schedule after whole process is completed.
Note:
A) not all managers accept invites quickly
B) you should have 15 regular season matches arranged for HGL Season 1
C) if you play also other Pickup matches than those for HGL, make sure you won't count them as being one of the 15
D) confirm that match dates and times show up correctly in your team schedule.
There has been problems with arranging PU matches, especially if they overlap some other match.
So we ask you to not play other than HGL Pickup matches so that they start just before HGL match, or so that they overlap it.

6. If all B), C) and D) from previous ('5.') are correct, let us know that all your matches are properly organized. I'll keep an updateable list of confirmed teams. Contact us on forums or send me BBMail, if problems arise.

Home-Grown League (HGL) Schedule:

Thank you T-Lit for sending a schedule created by MrJ here as well, and adding functionality in form of team links.

Like I mentioned in forum earlier today what I will do, I copy-pasted this schedule sent by you to the 'official league schedule'-post (post 1 of 2) here: (326590.5) , and following your good practice/idea added team links to the 'official participating teams'-post, which is found here: (326590.2). I take it that you didn't edit it anyway when copying it from MrJ's forum post, or then we might have a catastrophe in our hands at the end of the season now that I copied it to the official post... ;D

So now managers can use either of us posts when arranging regular season matches, but please do not start arranging those yet, as we first want to decide whether we'll apply a principles of:
A) regards to sending Pickup game challenges, adding a principle of 8 challenger teams (who use 15 tokens) and 8 accepting managers (who use 0 tokens for regular season match challenges)
B) fixed times for matches: either fixed time for all matches, or fixed times based on teams who play against each other

(There are for instance some matches where both teams are from Americas, in which case certain time could be used, matches between European teams could start at certain time, etc., but still it would more simple to stick with certain locked time as then matchups would needed to go through and evaluated "by hand", 1 by 1, and done for each and every season separately).

Yes, MAJOR props to Mr. J for creating the schedule, all I did was copy his, then add the hyper links for ease of use. Major major kudos to Mr. J for sure!
