Hi guys!

I am sure somebody has "cracked " the code and figured out the best way to use your points for draft. And also the ideal amount of points needed so you can properly scout the players. Could somebody share their findings, please?

I have always been fan of just buying draftees of TL since it seemed to be financially effective. I think to buy a good draftee is not so expensive as it used to be and also you exactly know what you are buying compared to drafting. Even if you do your scouting it is still somewhat of a lottery...

But I just want to give it a chance for the fun of it.

Yes this will probably be your case as Paul George just said. Check out this link (https://buzzerbeater.com/community/rules.aspx?nav=Economy), this describes the Players Salary Floor, which is basically the minimum amount of money you pay weekly even when your player salaries are less than this amount (even if it's zero).

in the draft and scouting section. What does a "grade rating" mean? What factors does it take into account to come up with a certain grade?

If I've gotten it correctly, then the star rating describes the total amount of skills the player has, while the grade rating describes the distribution of these skill points and thus how high his salary will be.
