That's what I usually do. You should also consider what your predicted record will be in the new league and how will that affect your attendance. Also consider that if you promote you'll get a bonus in attendance for the early part of the season, so use that to your advantage (wisely).

+1 back at you

All of this too.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

That was the exact purpose of this question, to find out what some of the wisdom on this would be. I know I'll want to boost the tickets for at least the first half of the season with the promotion excitement, and figuring out the right targets is pretty critical to success.

I feel like my arena is of sufficient size to bring in what I'll need to be competitive (12500), but I don't know where I'll be landing so it's going to take some studying once I promote. I scouted a handful of D-3 leagues at various points, and I see competitive teams with arenas of my size. Obviously some will be bigger, and I know I need to aim toward 20k if I want to promote again with emphasis on Lower Tier and Courtside seats first.

What's your plan for next season?
Getting to 20K is a long process. IMO perhaps building more higher-priced seats first would be a better deal for you, depending on your team performs, but generally attendance for those seats are more stable.

I think it's too soon to have a plan until I know where I end up. I would hope to just be a top 5 team and adjust for weaknesses in my team. Building the arena may or may not be a top priority. I've been steadily improving it over the past few seasons, but if I need to spend cash to stay in my new league then I might do that instead.

I am finding it very hard to find a good point of comparison for the potential boost in attendance after promoting. I can't go back and see how much other teams increased prices after promotion for that initial period, so I can't tell what their attendance numbers were based upon. Also don't know when they increased capacity.

So I am trying to decide if it's better to err on the conservative side with the increase or go a little farther out and hope the fans pay the prices.

I'm currently at 10-32-103-750 and last season I sold everything but 8 luxury boxes consistently (I realize I could have dropped the price on those and sold more but ended up with the same net proceeds, basically).

I'm considering a push to 12-35-115-850. Based on my league, I think those are in line with what other people charge. If we struggle, then we might have to pull back later. Maybe that lower tier price should be higher, like $40? The courtside up to $120 maybe?

I feel I've done a lot of research, but the tools don't really predict the effects of going too high or the lost potential revenue by not raising prices enough after promotion.

I'd appreciate some advice from those who have done this, because it's clearly not all science and formulaic. Thanks!

I don't know the exact set prices... but just don't change them in the middle of the season.. Do it at the start or near the playoff is you have home court advantage..

I learned the hard way..
