As it was mentioned, potential is the key. 5 balls is great, 4 is good, 3 is not enough, 1-2 is garbage even with excellent starting skills. I think you've got it already.

But let's say the potential of your top 4 draftees is equal...
Have you scouted all 10 skills or just 6 out of 10? Scouting all attributes is expensive, but it provides perfect knowledge and allows (almost exactly) to split 18 yo's and 19 yo's. Anyway, mind the gap that the 19yo has over 18yo's. If it's about 8 skill points or more than i'd prefer 19 yo draftee.

And I like the idea to pick one of the 18 yo's and then try to snatch the 19 yo, coz managers tend to ignore them a little. Moreover, a manager who don't scout attributes (most of us I suppose) will pass by 19 yo draftee with great skill sum (65+), coz he only sees the 5 balls in current ability, which is not ucommon. So he'll pick 5-balls 18 yo, whose skill sum will average about 50-55.

In general I'm a fan of what you're doing, good luck with your draft picks.

Hey guys, my first-ever draft is coming up, and still not quite sure what should be valued most. I didn't (and, still don't) quite know how it should be done, so I went with Group Demonstration and then kept interviewing the guys with 5-star star rating.

Right now, at two I've got at the top of the list:

18-year-old 5-star star rating, 5-star potential, A grade rating.
19-year-old 5-star star rating, 5-star potential, A+ grade rating.

Which one do you think I should go for, in your opinion? And overall, any tips for draft process?

I prefer 18yo.

BTW, can we have players at 17yo? say 1 or 2 players out of 48 from the draft, so we will have more times to train them up.

I would prefer having Lebron and Dončič type players out of the draft. 18 year old with skills up to lvl 16-18
