It simply gets you a larger arena more quickly, and allows you to make attendance revenue more quickly and not have to worry about it down the line. You're going to have to expand your arena to roughly 20k eventually, so expanding early is always nice if you have the funds.

Why so many trainees? I'd say it should be like this:
1: get 3 18-19 year old trainees with star or allstar potential
2: get a competent or advanced trainer
3: expand your arena while training your youngsters

Well that's pretty much what I meant. I'm just saying that you should use around a 100k on a couple trainees and a trainer before you invest the rest in your arena.
