Yes, to be the conference coach you don't need to know the skills players, one time the pre-list of more voted players is conclued position by position like fans think.

The coach will analisys player performances and stats and decide who pick to roster and line up.

I believe JS, JR and Stamina decide on 3pt challenger, to Dunk, in my opinion, we need HA, DR and IS.

I'm NOT for it, as there would be misuses. E.g. managers could arrange the players wrongfully, by giving second choices more minutes than they deserve, or giving 5 players 36 minutes and only 12 to the bench. Also, Perpete's remark is good. Too many negative complications could be created with this modification, even though it is a nice suggestion.

Rather they should do like in RL and split the vote between the game (55%) and managers (45%). Or get the starters with game vote and the 5 backups with manager vote. It would be best if they beefed up the stats available before doing this.

Maybe the ASG can also be used to determine the HCA in the Finals as a tiebreaker: if 2 teams have the same number of wins the ASG decides. There is some logic behind it: teams on a side with many tanking teams or bots have an easier path to a good record and higher PD, however their side in the ASG is likely to be weaker because the player pool is smaller. This would balance the discrepancies between conferences a bit.

ASG wouldn't be fairer that the current option.
OK how about giving it to the conference with the best interconference record then. After all you only need 1 tanking team to skew the PD by 150-200 points.

Note that I was not suggesting of using it as the first tiebreaker but as the second. First would be RS record in any case, but after that PD is a very unfair metric and is very heavily influenced by the level of competition, so the stronger side should have HCA in that case because getting the same record on the stronger conference is definitely harder.

Let's turn this into a All star Challenge. By that I mean have the leagues team of all stars take on another comparable leagues all stars. For d1 do it like a B3 where you take on a team from another country. D2 and below just get paired against another league in country. Maybe do the international version for micronations.

This could add a layer to the onion.

But the ASG concept itself which is in place just to assist in the administration of the cup no longer is needed and would not be missed.
