I really wonder how the Spurs would have done against the Warriors if Kawhi doesn't go down. Do they just with Game 1 or do they make a series of it?

West have some intriguing teams - Houston, OKC and Pelicans. Not that I think the Pels will challenge for the title - just will be interesting to see Boogie and Davis with a training camp under their belts together.

I follow the Mavs but I think the will be pretty crap again. Looking forward to seeing Smith and Noel though. Hopefully they both show a bit of talent to give me some hope for the future :)

Aaand the Sixers just jackknifed their franchise by offering 29 million a year to a cripple. So much for the process...

And their rookie that they paid Boston for a hefty price looks injured and out of sorts.

Could the curse continue, could Faultz be injured long term like the others before him?

But dam Simmons and Embiid is lighting it up... very exciting to watch them play together and hope they can stay healthy.

Hayward out already. Looked extremely painful. No news on how long he's out for yet but it's likely to be a while and the Celtics might have already been taken out of contention by this unfortunate event.

No-ones talking. I think most of us have realised that, with the exception of the teams likely to be on the play-off bubble, the regular season is about as important as the modern all-star game. Of course you do need to win enough to make the play-offs but beyond that where's the incentive?

I read an article a while back that Silver believes an expansion to 32 teams is inevitable and even though that would dilute the talent pool a bit I'd welcome it because of this whole "long season just to cut the field to 16" problem. Stiffen the cap rules too, these super-teams wouldn't be as big of a problem if the cap wasn't effectively non-existent, allowing these teams to stockpile players more than they should.

LA could probably find room for another sports team.

Seattle. Oh and maybe Vegas as every other major sports team is there aren't they?

Charlotte got their basketball team back in the last expansion after losing their old one, so if Seattle doesn't get theirs back in the next expansion I'd be surprised. Team 32 isn't such an easy one to predict, but it would have to be in the East unless Memphis or New Orleans were to swap conferences (these two teams are on the East-West border).

I wonder if Montreal would be interested? After all it's becoming an international sport, and Toronto is doing fine for themselves right now...
