Hanguk U21 87 - 85 Saudi Arabia U21
(46141)Now time to rewatch this!

The start of this Season 42 Asia U21 Championship Tournament for us. This is our first game of the tournament. I was hoping to field a few more into the roster, but unfortunately due to poor GS and an ill-timed 2 week injury to Gangnam's rookie, we were only to dress 6 players for this game. Quite the skinny lineup indeed, versus the 10 player squad that Saudi Arabia dressed for this one. They are hungry for this one, putting on a little more effort and going with a fast paced Run and Gun offence. We're looking to pound it inside and muscle our way to the victory.
First quarter starting off well so far with Jin-Sung Ham
(43553249) doing a lot of the dirty work, winning the tip off, rebounding, scoring 11 points in the first 7 minutes. Interesting note, Ham was a product of Soul Crushers
(40723) prior to this season. Trained him up well, but I guess didn't fit in their training regiment and was shipped off to Venezuela. Busan Thunder's
(40638) Shin-Cho Lee
(43553261) also contributing this quarter with his quickness and causing opponents foul trouble, scoring all his 4 points from the free throw line. We head to the break at the end of the 1st trailing by 1. 24-25
We start the 2nd quarter falling behind early. S.A. starts the quarter on an 10-2 run. We spend the next 5 minutes of the quarter clawing back, but both teams have gone cold in their shooting. A back and forth quarter ending with Hanguk coming out on top. 53-51. Sang-Sub Choi
(42761680) quietly collects his double double.
Shin-Cho Lee racks up 10 of the 14 points scored in this quarter to build us a 3 point lead. 67-64
Gonna skip to the part you all want to find out. The last minute of the game. 85-80. S.A is fouling to keep the game close. We pull out to 87-82 lead with 14 seconds left. So no, it wasn't a buzzerbeater victory. But solid defence held out for us. We led the rebound race. And ultimately squeaked this one out.
hope to have more guys on the roster next game, but it'll be tough against New Zealand
