Of course you are wrong. There is no difference in small country vs big country when it comes to money saving. Simple evidence: China has a lot of teams = big country and yet their teams seems to be very competitive - often winner - in B3. If what you said were true, than we would have a top10 teams in the world from (almost) lost (!) countries. Take a look at the best teams right now. They come from big countries.

There is probably less competition in small countries, but definitely no more money on the plate.

Well that depends on how you play. With a full and competitive roster we may make less from merchandising and ticket sales due to having weaker rivals. If you chose to tank however, you can make silly amounts of money quite quickly while not sinking very far down the league.

Tanking in a small nation is pretty much the most boring and unrewarding thing ever but there are still plenty out there who do it. The reason we don't have a top ten of teams from small nations is that whatever money you have, it does still require managerial and tactical skills to make it really pay off, which the teams at the top of large leagues tend to have just by way of experience.

of course he is NOT wrong. what you said is extremely logical. OBVIOUSLY there is no more money on the plate in any country. What did you expect ticket sales in Barbados to be higher (and thus barbados teams obtaining more income) than ticket sales in Canada.

Review the issue.

It is much easier for a team in a small country to raise more money. WHY? because they can make it to the first league way faster. and Ticket sales are higher in the first league than in the second league than in the third league etc...

If a team starts in China. They might be in the 7th league. and It will take them many many seasons to jump to the 1st league where they can maximize their ticket sales... but for a small country, it can take new teams only one season to reach the main league where they can maximize their ticket sales...

therefore, it is MUCH easier to raise money in a small country than in a big country. Mod-Akyurtlu is absolutely correct.

Your question about the top 10 teams in the world not being from small countries was answered by Tortuga. It is definitely easy to raise money in a small country, but money can't buy championships alone. But when it is grouped together with managerial and technical skills, a championship team develops.

Aight. But there r two big disatvantages ( next to all the small country pros ).

TV Contract is based...aeh..on whatever

Merchandise revenue for NT players in based on NT World Rank ( thats why germanies NT sucks big time-->dropping in the twentys :P)

no, non competetive/easy money earning small country serial champion will ever compete with a big country/ hard competition serial champion (if u found one)

..i can give u a average weekly revenue from my silly club and i bet NOT ONE small country champion is close ;-)

Expenses Revenue
Player Salaries: $ 1 007 906 Attendance: $ 610 318
Staff Salaries: $ 57 700 Merchandise: $ 226 523
Scouting: $ 10 000 TV Contract: $ 239 622
Total: $ 1 075 606 Total: $ 1 076 463
Typical Weekly Net Income: $ 857

Cheerio

Sorry all, for my interupt and my bad english,

But like what Will Freeman said is correct,

It's impossible for small country to come close to big country weekly earning, Even if the top few clubs in the small country, maybe only 1 or 2 can be near attendance of big country, big club. But for Merchandise and TV contract adding up together, NO WAY for team that can earn that much. And this already shown that top clubs from small country are not in a strong position to challenge top clubs from big country.

Small country people are easy to earn money, but well, it must be base on the country competitive rate. if the competition is so strong, there is almost no way for team to really save and earn money in their Div 1. Some top clubs in their small country have to really fight their ass out, in order to get the tickets to represent their country for a challenge in B3. But True, some clubs from some small country could really save lots of money in their div 1 league, even losing all game and they wont be even get demoted to div2, even if they will, their div2 are really as easy as ABC, as if there is no one from there to challenge, meanng they will still get free tickets back to their Div1 without any fight.

So to ALL THOSE PEOPLE: who kept saying, those team who buy monster player to win b3, Please check on the team background, check if they are always challenging for their top league title, or they are really saving money in their top league in all their past team history before claiming that they are a tanking team or they are really a good manager.

Cheers to all!!
