Get rid off the fouling players and hire new ones who tend to foul less :)

Look for the players who have less than 2 fouls per game on average.

I absolutely agree. Before I was a HG team (when I would buy players) one of the things I did absolutely every time I was looking to purchase a player was to go through their games for that season and often a season or two before that. I did this not just to see what they were capable of (scoring, rebounding assists etc) but also looked carefully at how many times they had fouled out. If they had too many 6-foul games, I wouldn't purchase them no matter how good they were. There is a known aggression trait in some players and this is one of the best ways to see it.

If you buy a player without noticing this, and they are regularly fouling out and costing you games, then fire them! Simple.

It is more difficult with draftees of course. My young C, Hunter, for example, regularly gets 5 quick fouls. Thankfully, he manages to stay on 5 almost always but clearly is a slightly more aggressive player than usual.
