I'd recommend SF/SG..

I noticed you've got some young players with 4k+ salary and at least star potential where all of them have recommended position of SG :
1. Conley - Perennial Allstar, turning 20 next season ( I notice he's your starting PG )
2. Bauman - Star, turning 19 next season
3. Minopoli - Allstar, turning 19 next season

I believe they have potential to become really good players if they are given the right training, so imho, it is best to get a SG or SF for your draft pick, I personally feel that you should get 1 or at max 2 more SG/SF that has good potential. Then you can do a 2 position training for your draftee(s) + the players listed above.

PS : was going to recommend PG/SG, but I noticed Conley's and Bauman's height are 198 and 190 respectively, so I think making them SF would be a wiser choice cause their height might slow down their training if they are going to train as Guards ( especially PG )

I believe you should draft an SF, but only if you completely understand how the draft works. For a balanced SF you won't even need more than All Star potential although the higher the better. If you are in lower leagues the salary of the SF will be affordable and lastly because they are so valuable and hard to find they can make your whole BB life easier.

Totally disagree. For a SF I think you need at least superstar potential. They just need so many things and the best thing about training a SF is that you can train three at the same time and at the end of the long and painful process you can sell one or two of them for $2-4 million each.

Superstar+ is the way to go if you want to train a SF. My first trainee was a undersized Allstar-potential center that I turned into an SF and as soon he became pretty decent he capped with less than 40k salary, bummer.

A 40k SF isn't that bad, i play there mostly with a 55k guy on a very high level and i needed much time to get him there.

Yeah a well balanced 40-60k SF's can be very good starters in D.2 and NBBA, obviously the higher the potential the better

They should come out after the allstar game. I don't think you should try to draft someone off of what position you need though, I would just try to find the best prospect you can. For instance even if you were looking to find an SG, if you have a 5/5 PF in your draft you better try to get the PF even if he isn't what position you were looking for. This is because you can always change your teams roster after you look at your new rookies skills or you can sell the rookie for some cash and just buy a good player for that position you needed. hope this helps.

I drafted a 5/5 PF this season.
Not a good choice!

43 skill points to start with and MVP potential.

Even 5/5 players can have bad secondaries, so don't expect too much.

I dont like drafting center listed players, chance of getting 1's and2's in js/jr/dr/hn/pas are pretty high.


you know there is a boxscore? of course its just one game, but if i e.g. scout a bigman with 4+ turnover and 0 assists --> good bye. this works fine for me.

I dont want 6'10 sf's..probably come with crap rebounding or is or id..


why not? its the perfect height to train these skills ;-)
